Robert J. Ridings

Robert J. Ridings

Robert traveled and lived overseas for an extended period of time and worked with the American Embassies in both Korea and the Philippines.  Robert returned to the U.S. and decided to focus his career on immigration and opened a practice with Alan Dobson in 2004.  In fact, this focus was inspired by his decision to marry and petition for his wife Angelica, a native of the Philippines.

Robert understands the confusion and anxiety his clients may face as they petition for their loved ones from overseas.  For that reason, Robert’s main focus is family immigration matters and his work includes family petitions for U.S. Citizens and Lawful Permanent Resident family members, green cards based on marriage to U.S. citizens, and responding to Embassy visa denials for spouses of U.S. citizens and permanent residents, including responses to Notices of Intent to Revoke family petitions, as well as citizenship and naturalization.

Although Robert’s passion is family immigration, he has also assisted and worked with numerous students for reinstatement of F-1 status, change to F-1 status, and motions to reopen denied reinstatements.  His work also includes assistance with employment issues such as H-1B and L-1 petitions.
